Today we left Dallas, WV and started our trip to Alaska. It took us awhile to unpack from Camp KnoKoma and then repack for Alaska, but we finally left the house at 10:45 am. We had one mechanical issue with the scissor stabilizing jack not working correctly. I decided to just remove it and then replace it on the road.
We were both still really tired from camp, so we only drove 300 miles and stopped in New Lisbon, IN at a nice family campground. After a short nap, I went off to Harbor Freight to purchase a new scissor jack.
It is amazing that everywhere you go there is history. A few miles from the campground is Wilbur Wright's birthplace. Although the house and museum were closed for the day, I drove by just to see the house from the outside.
Tomorrow I'll install the jack and we'll be on our way.
Hi guys. We want to wish you a safe journey with lots of great adventures. It will be fun following your blog, kind of like traveling with you. Ok, maybe not. Happy Trails❤️
