Missoula

We drove to Missoula, Montana today; however, instead of taking the Interstate, we decided to take the scenic route.  Rox and I kept saying "wow" around every turn.  The road we took (Highway 12)  basically followed the river through the Bitterroot Mountain Range.  As we got closer to the Montana border we drove through the Lolo Pass, which was at an elevation of 5,233 feet.  It took us about twice as long to go the scenic route, but it was well worth it.

We decided to camp at the KOA campground in Missoula.  I told the lady at registration that we didn't have a reservation and she got a worried look on her face.  She did find us a space, but the University of Montana football team has their home opener tomorrow in Missoula and many fans are staying at the campground.
