Riverboat Adventure

We spent the morning at Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge.  It is a 2200 acre bird sanctuary in Fairbanks.  We saw lots of birds, but they were too far away to get any good pictures.  We were able to see them up close with our binoculars.

In the afternoon we boarded a riverboat that took us up the Chena River.  During the tour we saw a seaplane take off and land on the river, saw the home and kennels of the late Iditarod Champion, Susan Butcher, and visited a replica of a frontier Indian village.
